Fourteen projects, from event sourced platforms and automated document analysis to the application flow that takes in new business for one of the largest insurers in the Netherlands. Each one is written up the same way: what it was, what was hard about it, what I did and what came out of it.

a.s.r. / 2026
New coverage functionality on the a.s.r. insurance platform, delivered to a launch date set outside engineering and across APIs owned by other teams. I lead the track, which is the planning and the alignment as much as the building.

The main entry point for every incoming insurance application at one of the largest insurers in the Netherlands. I extended it to dozens more employers, cut the internal errors that were stranding applications, and designed and ran the release process around it.

a.s.r. needed a new identity applied across its corporate platform, and the obstacle was the component layer underneath it. I restructured that layer first, covered it with automated tests, and then rolled the change out across a live commercial platform.

The a.s.r. corporate platform moved off Sitecore and Vite onto headless Contentstack and Nuxt.js, over a track of more than a year, while it stayed up for visitors the whole way.
Boekjaar / 2024
The data warehouse behind Boekjaar's automated annual reporting, and the accounting integrations that feed it. Built alongside the co founder, so users can run their own fiscal year analysis instead of waiting for one.
Qfact / 2018 to 2024
Six years at Qfact, from 2018 to 2024, on one microservices SaaS platform used daily by thousands of people for complex analysis. I moved from building it to leading four developers on it.
Qfact / 2023 to 2025
The second phase of QIntelligence at Qfact: an automated content analysis system that turns the documents users already upload into project recommendations, built on the indexing foundation from phase one.

A configurable reporting engine for the Qfact platform. Users compose the views they need themselves, which covers 25 or more frequently requested use cases with no developer in the loop.

The document indexing foundation of QIntelligence at Qfact: user documents indexed, full text searchable and available to every service above them. I led the initiative from the research through the architecture to delivery.
Qfact / 2022
I led the service that finds corrupted data on the Qfact platform, traces it back to the behaviour that caused it, and repairs it. No customer has to report the symptom first.
Qfact / 2021
A new event store for the Qfact SaaS platform, built with the software architect. It persists business logic as events and gives the platform an audit trail that meets government compliance requirements.
Personal project / 2021
A personal project: a mobile app for a shared car, tracking who drove it, what it cost and how that splits between drivers. A .NET backend with MySQL behind a React Native app and a Vue.js web client.

A personal project: a shared digital board where cards, text, images and video stay in sync across everyone looking at it, with an event sourced Node.js backend and a Vue.js application layer on top.

A personal project: a reusable networking engine for browser multiplayer games. Photon Realtime for transport, a Node.js server holding the authoritative state, and a client framework a game is written against.
